6 day Sahara Desert Tour from Tangier
Day 1: Tangier -
Explore Morocco in guided private tour from Tangier. We will meet you at your hotel and we drive through the Rif mountains. We visit a small blue town called Chefchaouen ” the blue Jewellery “. Its buildings and houses are all painted in blue and white and it is one of the most beautiful towns in the Rif mountains. We continue towards the worth visiting Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. Then we head to Meknes to visit the former Imperial city and its most interesting monuments. In the late afternoon, you will reach Fes for checking in a local riad for the overnight stay.
Day 2: Fes medina excursion.
Today we will have our typical Fes to start wandering through the ancient city. We would be losing ourselves in the maze of the Old Medina where you can have an idea about the city's rich history, you can see that is the architecture and the shops, bazaars of a different kinds of traditional artefacts and handmade stunning pieces such as furniture, clothes, decoration pieces. After that we will continue to discover Mallah which is the Jewish quarter in the Old Medina that includes wonderful buildings and views, following that we will visit Chouara tannery and its sightseeing picturesque view. Next we will have a lunch break in one of the local restaurants to taste the most delicious traditional dish as Fes food is the tastiest one in the whole kingdom. We will be also visiting the modern part of the city as well starting by the Royal palace gates. Overnight in riad.
Day 3: Fes -
Our Sahara Tour continues to Merzouga the golden town passing by The Middle Atlas Mountains, the highest mountains in the country. We will be driving our luxurious cars through the green woods and the winding passes of the great mountains. We will first stop on Casablanca Desert Tours in the stunning town of Ifrane, the charming mountains town known for the clean air and the environment. Next we will stop in Azrou, to visit the largest cedar forest in Morocco and also to have some great pictures with the little monkeys in there. We will have our tasty barbecue for lunch in Midelt, the small Berber town known as the Rocks city, so we can know more about the life and culture of the Berber people. We will pursue our Casablanca Desert Tour through the fascinating palm groves, where we will sense the doors of the Royal Sahara. We will keep driving to Merzouga, the heart of the south and the perfect Desert destination. The camels in the town will take us in a beautiful ride in the sunrise time to admire the outstanding combination of sands and the shinning sun. We will spend the night in the bare Sahara enjoying the exotic atmosphere and listening to the sweet sound of winds and sands.
Day 4: Merzouga sunset in Desert -
Today you will wake up in the early morning; in order to see the incredible sunrise from a high dune . After that, you will enjoy your breakfast in the Camp. Our first stop will be in Erfoud, the famous for the fossil ( if you would that to visit a factory of fossil to have some information about it). Lunch time will be in Tinjdad or tinghir. We continue our way to Torda Gorge which is the best place for the climbers, you will have sometime to walk and enjoy the landscape of the Gorge. We will drive to dades valley , there you can enjoy the views and landscape of the valley the berber villages , before we get to our hotel. Overnight in Gorge of Dades in kasbah with dinner .
Day 5: Dades Valley -
After breakfast we will enjoy the landscape of the high Atlas mountains.We will see the Nomad family who are you still living the caves. then, we continue our way to the valley of the roses ( if you are interested to see how they make the rose oil , water ..). We continue to Skoura to visit a kasbah of Amridil, it is from the 17th cuntry, before we arrive Ouarzazat. In Ouarzazat you could visit the museum of cinema or the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Studio of the movies. Our next stop is will be in the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou,we will take a chance to see the well-
Day 6: City excursion of Marrakech
Today we explore Marrakech. We will explore the fascinating monuments of this city that combines modernity and traditional architecture for its buildings. We will visit Saadien Kings, Dar Si Said Museum, the Menara Gardens, and the ancient Koutoubia Mosque and every historical site that will make you fall in love with the beautiful Moroccan culture. We will have a traditional Tanjia dish for lunch, before visiting old Medina and its busy souks ( Markets), the last visit in Marrakech would be to Jamae El Fna, the very large square where storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, food trucks, artists and gather to give the most impressive show. End of the tour.
